| Hello, Dia mi! How have you been doing? Amidst all the unrest and drama in this country, how have you been doing? |
As I'm writing this letter to you, I don't know what exactly I'm going to say. I just know I want to talk with you about this constant feeling of inadequacy most of us have. That includes me, too ๐.
Our world is one where many young people have achieved a lot of things such as inventions, career milestones, a stable income or even fame. In a way, being an overachiever is the norm and you might even find yourself living that way. I'm here to tell you it's okay.
For some of us, we find that we still feel inadequate even after achieving so much. We feel like our achievements aren't enough or that we got to where we are by pure luck. In short, we feel like an impostor, living in constant fear that our flaws and weaknesses will be revealed one day.
Even when others show us how much we've done in our short lifetime, we still hear that inner voice telling us to work harder. If you've ever felt like this, it's not okay okay to acknowledge that you're being hard on yourself. And it's time to tell your imposter syndrome bye-bye.
Instead of doubting who you are, acknowledge what you're good at and what you need to work on. Accept that things might not be perfect but they can always be better. Know that you're strong, amazing, intelligent and can do anything you put your mind to. Literally, look into your inner doubt's eye and tell it: "I'm done with feeling inadequate"
One great way you can do this is by joining support groups that truly care about the well being of their members. Also, don't use social media standards to judge how you live. Just remain the strong, beautiful human that you are.
How do you stay confident in the face of challenges? Do you take a break or face it head-on? I hope you use healthy measures to conquer it.
Never forget that I'm ready to listen to you in the comments section anytime๐. Can't wait for our next conversation!
With love,
Pemperempe.
