Unrequited: The Series (2)

Hello,Dia mi!

I came back again because I couldn't bear to leave my story hanging. I trust that you have been staying safe amidst this craziness. Your peperempe has also been trying to stay mentally positive😊.

The experience I'm about to reveal may or may not throw you off your seats. At the time,I had no idea what was coming. I believe this would be your reaction too. Are you all set now?

Ahn ahn, calm down. You have to prepare yourself mentally. Breathe in and out,dia mi. Please make sure you're not eating anything peppery, so that it won't end in tears.

Are you ready? Are you set? Let's go! My "Prince Charming" and I became regular texters,if you can remember. And the next thing that happened made me happy, actually. He asked me out on a date, my first date actually (Shh,don't tell anyone. Top secret). I started planning how I would look,as if I was a bride. I'm sure you understand how I felt.

The long awaited day arrived (Finally!). I must admit that I looked very nice that day. However,my village people decided to turn up on that day😂. A bad cough just came from nowhere. Can you guess what happened next. If you think we canceled it,you're terribly wrong.

Dia mi,I had my first date at the school clinic. I should have known by then that it would end in tears (I'm pretty stubborn too). My school clinic is a perfect time waster,so our date got off to a good start. We had plenty of time (I'm still blushing from the memory).

What "Prince Charming" brought up came as a bombshell. He started talking about Jesus Christ(What just happened?). This was surprising to me because I never saw him in that light. It was apparent that "Prince Charming" was a konk Christian. I was however and still is ,indifferent about religion (I strongly believe in God though,I mean, why am I alive?). The fact that we were different in this area should have been a red flag. But you know they say the dog who wants to go astray never hears the hunter's whistle. My little crush had amputated any logic I might have had😂😂.

Anyway,we ended up doing Idia 101 after leaving the clinic (I see you laughing at me). Slowly,my little crush started expanding as "Prince Charming" continued talking to me. Naive me was on top of the world. By this time,we had already become closer. We would go to meetings together. We even attended Jaw war together😂😂.

I was in a dilemma. Did he like me or not?. "Prince Charming" was emitting mixed signals. As for me,I kept waiting for how the movie of our friendship would play out.

Fast forward to a month later, "Prince Charming" and I were coming back from an AIESEC meeting. We decided to do something we had never done before. It was this harmless action that marked the downward spiral of our new friendship. When you hear it,you would understand why it ended in hot tears(No kidding,I actually cried🤣🤣)

Hold on a bit, where did I mention I was going to tell you that today?. Dia mi,you'd have to try again later. I'm too emotionally unstable to tell you today(Sniffles).

Remember that you really don't have to go out. You can always reach out to bae and family virtually. Together,we can chase Corona with a long stick❤.

Till next time,
Peperempe.

It's a beautiful evening, Dia Mi! Everywhere is quiet and I can see the setting sun from far away. Before you say I sound like a poet, I just wish you could view this beauty with me😊. How have you been faring these days? I hope you aren't letting life get you down. I understand life can be quite frustrating, so I decided to have a conversation with you today! I remember poking you in the ribs about all the reasons you fail. However, I'm not going to apologise but I'm going to repeat it with all boldness. You probably contributed to that failed project or lost opportunity. But it's beautiful to know you can always try again, Dia Mi. So, I decided to give you some realistic tips on how to overcome failure. They're simple, straightforward and help you to see the way forward. I'm diving in right away. 1.Face Failure: You failed again, and so what? Who says you can't try again? You definitely can; you only need to be upfront about why you failed. Search deep...

Are You A Failure?

Hello, Dia mi😊! It has been a long week over here and I'm genuinely excited to be having this conversation with you today. Did your week go well? Dia mi, when last did you fail? Do you think you're a failure? Before you answer these questions, I want you to take a deep breath and think about all those past mistakes carefully. I'm not even kidding. How can you appreciate success if you never fail? How can you be relevant if you never fail? If you think this is some motivational speech, you're wrong.  I have thought about it over and over again. Why did I fail at this project? Why did I have bad grades in this course? Why did I give up halfway on that dream? Does this mean I'm a failure? If this sounds like you, those failures didn't happen by chance. It was a result of the actions you took or failed to take as you were aiming for that goal. It could have been any of these: 1. Your Self-discipline: Let's be honest, self discipline is a problem most of us face...

The Perfect Trick You Need

Hello, Dia mi! It has been such an awfully long time since our last conversation. August was a crazy month for me but I'm really sorry I left for a while. Will you accept my apologies🤗? As always, I didn't come empty-handed. I came with some goodness I'm sure you will love. You won't believe how excited I am to tell you what I just discovered. I feel that you'll also be excited to try this out once I reveal it. Credit: Tetiana Shyshkina I recently discovered a productivity trick that allows you to take spurts of energy while working and still achieve maximum results. It gives the chance to text a friend, take a shower and relax without disrupting your productivity. Can a trick be this amazing? Well, the Pomodoro technique has all the sauce, as we say🤭. The Pomodoro technique is a productivity and time management trick developed by Francesco Crillion in the late 1980s. He created this technique in his university days when he used to study in his kitchen with a toma...
