Unrequited : The Series (7)

Hello,Dia mi!

How have you been doing?. It has been a lovely day so far, with the rain. After days of terrible heat, the heavens finally blessed us with rain🤭.

I know that you have been longing for our conversations. Fortunately,I came to see you again for that juicy gist(Winks). Before we start, let's get ourselves a cup of coffee.

Are you all covered up now? Excellent. I will kick off from the magnificent incident I was telling you about. To be honest, this event was magnificent in every sense of the word. It was this event that fueled my stupidity. You could even call it hope,if you're an optimist😂.

Jaw war is a very big event in the University of Ibadan. I mean, everyone has attended it or at least wants to attend. Just in case you're wondering, Jaw war was that magnificent event. It was my first time attending it and I was very excited, thanks to my friend. My excitement made me sell the idea to " Prince Charming" and he agreed. How happy I was! It was a chance to see him offered on a platter of gold.

I waited endlessly for the first day of Jaw war. If I was able to rush time,I would have(Poor time!). Finally, the much awaited day came. After wrapping up my day,I instantly went to the auditorium where the Jaw war debate was going to take place. I was disappointed when I got there. How could my "Prince Charming" not have arrived?. I waited endlessly for him but he didn't fulfill his promise. So I gave up and went home.

The next day,I decided not to talk to him about coming to avoid a fresh bruise of disappointment. After class,my friend and I decided to attend the second day of the event. Although I wanted "Prince Charming" to come, I knew it was just fantasy. I was in for a big surprise.

Halfway into the event, something unexpected happened. The actions that followed after these events had a huge role to play in my heartbreak. I bet you would be surprised when you hear it.

Dia mi,I'm not saying it today. I believe that it would have to wait till our next conversation. Just keep looking out for your peperempe. Stay healthy and stay on top of the world till we meet again.

With love,
Peperempe.

Why You Should Drop That Fiction Book...For Now

Hello, Dia mi😁! How are you doing today? I hope you've been having a lovely week so far. As for me, I have had a lovely week of reading and online classes and it wasn't exactly bearable. Luckily for us, it's the weekend💃💃! I'm happy I was able to help you with tips to help you overcome failure in our last conversation. On the bright side, we'll be talking about books and how special they are. Books are treasures given to us for literally nothing and when we treat them that way, they change our lives forever. The kind of books I'm talking about is not this type but for reference purposes, this is also a book😂. I'm going to guess you read a fictional book recently. Even if my guess is wrong and you're reading one right now, can you drop it for a moment?  Before a moment gets long, I want you to know that I understand how boring self-help might be, especially if you're new to it. Most of them don't have that thrill, suspense and comedy your favo...

The New Sounds Of Nigerian Music

Hello,Dia mi! I trust that you have been doing well. It's a new month and a new chance for many of us to crush those amazing goals, right? What have you been up to? As for me,I have been listening to a whole lot of songs. My playlist is full of new sounds that I'm absolutely loving. I decided to share them with you😁. The corona virus pandemic has forced all of us to stay at home more than we would love to. Fortunately, this has helped many artists to hone their craft. Nowadays, songs are more about the lyrics than the beat.(Shaking a table😂) To be very honest, most Nigerian songs are about the beat. We love to listen to the beat because it lifts our mood and keeps us motivated. We had less time on our hands which made it easy to ignore lyrics. With more time on our hands,we can now listen to song lyrics patiently and with meaning. We prefer slower tunes with deep interpretations. Suddenly,a lockdown music revolution became the next big thing. In few months,we have moved from ear-...

Love Is Not Enough

Hello,Dia mi! I trust that you are having a lovely day. I also hope that you have been spreading love and kindness everywhere. It is a blessing to put a smile on someone's face❤. I'm going to talk about important factors that make or mar relationships, whether romantic or not.All our life,we've always heard how one day,we'll fall in love and have a happy ever after with that special person. You've been lied to terribly. It never works this way. I guess this was passed around to shield us from the shocking reality. The shocking reality is that love is never ever enough!. Sounds unbelievable, right? I understand you, trust me. Have you ever wondered what holds the strong relationships we see around?. Dia mi,a lot of things come in other than love. Here's why some relationships last longer than others do. Commitment: This can never be underrated,or is it overrated? What I'm saying is you have to make up your mind to give time to your relationships. You have to con...
