Unrequited: The Series (8)

Hello,Dia mi!

It has been a long one week and I miss you terribly. Our conversations keep me going,so it breaks me that I had to be away for so long😪😪. Good news I'm here with you now.

I know you can't wait to hear the big surprise I'm about to drop. I would suggest not eating so it does not drop from your mouth😂. Dia mi,tighten your seat belt and go with me on my bumpy ride.

I was telling you how my "Prince Charming" shocked me with his actions at Jaw war. I was just settling down on a comfortable spot when my cellphone started ringing. It was my dear "Prince Charming", telling me to reserve a spot for him. It warmed my heart that he was coming and most importantly sitting near me. How naive I was😂.

I waited and waited for "Prince Charming" to show up at the event. After a while, I gave up on hoping for his arrival. It turned out that he was a box of surprises. He called me just when I gave up on him. I was on top of the world. Finally,my dreams were coming true. I was already deliberating on the colour our aso ebi(ceremonial attire) would be🤭.

We started watching the debate together, which I wasn't really interested in. I'm guessing you know why (Clears throat). The two of us were able to have a conversation, even amidst the noise. We laughed at punchlines from the speakers and shared thoughts with the people around us.

Finally the event came to an end. As we were heading to our hostels,he said something surprising. What "Prince Charming" said endeared me to him. Little did I know it was sort of a lie(Insert tears).

We'll continue our conversation next week,Dia mi. Till then, stay safe and motivated. I can't wait to see you again❤.

With love,
Peperempe.

Are You A Failure?

Hello, Dia mi😊! It has been a long week over here and I'm genuinely excited to be having this conversation with you today. Did your week go well? Dia mi, when last did you fail? Do you think you're a failure? Before you answer these questions, I want you to take a deep breath and think about all those past mistakes carefully. I'm not even kidding. How can you appreciate success if you never fail? How can you be relevant if you never fail? If you think this is some motivational speech, you're wrong.  I have thought about it over and over again. Why did I fail at this project? Why did I have bad grades in this course? Why did I give up halfway on that dream? Does this mean I'm a failure? If this sounds like you, those failures didn't happen by chance. It was a result of the actions you took or failed to take as you were aiming for that goal. It could have been any of these: 1. Your Self-discipline: Let's be honest, self discipline is a problem most of us face...

You've been lied to terribly. It never works this way. I guess this was passed around to shield us from the shocking reality. The shocking reality is that love is never ever enough!. Sounds unbelievable, right? I understand you, trust me. Have you ever wondered what holds the strong relationships we see around?. Dia mi,a lot of things come in other than love. Here's why some relationships last longer than others do. Commitment: This can never be underrated,or is it overrated?
