Hello, Dia mi!
I hope that you have been watering your mental health. It's been a while since I talked to you and I'm so glad we're talking today. I also came along with some juicy gistðŸ¤.
Do you remember us having a conversation about student organizations? Just in case you forgot, it's here. I told you all about how I realized it was important for me to join student organizations. There's a magic trick I used to achieve this goal.
I know you're itching to ask me what the magic trick is but you have to listen to this first. After joining a student organization, I stayed stagnant for a while, wondering why no one was giving me responsibilities. I was afraid to take charge and do what I originally planned to do. I wasted about 4 months waiting for a miracle.
Then one day, an opportunity for me to crush my goal came. What was I supposed to do? I was not ready for it or so I thought. Besides, the opportunity was a very challenging one. I was scared that my mind was urging me to take a crucial leadership role.
I decided to have a conversation with a close friend and what she told me is the magic trick I'm going to tell you. She said: "Why don't you just do it. Even if you fail, you can be glad that you actually tried it out". This statement pushed me out of my comfort zone. There was no harm in trying so I signed up for the challenge. The good news is I managed to convince everyone I was capable of handling the role.
Just do it. Just do it. Just do it, Dia mi. You might not win that opportunity but there's this peace in knowing that you tried it out. There's this peace in knowing you learnt something even if you failed. There's happiness in knowing that you conquered your doubts and shamed the devil😂.
What are you deciding to do today? Which huge opportunity are you trying out today? I would love to hear all of it. See you in the comments section.
With love,
Peperempe.
