Are You A Failure? (Pt 2)

It's a beautiful evening, Dia Mi! Everywhere is quiet and I can see the setting sun from far away. Before you say I sound like a poet, I just wish you could view this beauty with me๐Ÿ˜Š.

How have you been faring these days? I hope you aren't letting life get you down. I understand life can be quite frustrating, so I decided to have a conversation with you today!

I remember poking you in the ribs about all the reasons you fail. However, I'm not going to apologise but I'm going to repeat it with all boldness. You probably contributed to that failed project or lost opportunity. But it's beautiful to know you can always try again, Dia Mi.

So, I decided to give you some realistic tips on how to overcome failure. They're simple, straightforward and help you to see the way forward. I'm diving in right away.

1.Face Failure:

You failed again, and so what? Who says you can't try again? You definitely can; you only need to be upfront about why you failed. Search deep within yourself and ask: What were the factors that made me fail? Am I blaming my failure on someone else? Am I letting this tragic incident discourage me? Am I letting this failed attempt change my perception of myself?

The truth is, you need to stand up again and look that opportunity or goal in the eye. Even if you're scared, start strategising how to achieve your goals again.

2. Start again

This might sound motivational but it isn't. You shouldn't let important stuff get away from you because you failed once. Instead, you should assess your last attempt and figure out the wrong steps you took.

Give yourself a short break, so you can think with an uncluttered mind. Draw up a realistic plan that can accommodate your situation, but make sure you are not overdoing it. Start doing daily habits that would imbibe the right attitude in you, because success is a process and you have to enjoy the process. In short, aspire to perspire reasonably.

3. Review your approach

What if your original approach to the problem was your approach? You might have made a mistake in your application or failed to learn a major skill in your career path? Whatever your approach is, make sure it works for you.

I'm saying this because different things works for different people. Your mentor is different from you. You are you, so study yourself to know what works for you. You are all the magic if you believe it๐Ÿ’™.

4. Track your progress

This is extremely important as you cannot know how far you've gone if you don't have a tracking system in place. Going over your plan biweekly or monthly can help you to correct any mistakes you made and try again.

If you feel you won't be honest with yourself, you can get an accountability partner to remind and encourage you when it gets tough.

I'm going to end our conversation by reminding you that you're not a failure, no matter what anyone says. You just failed and it's not the end of the world. You can rise again like yeast and become the masterpiece you truly are.

I would love to know in the comments box if any of these tips have helped you in the past. If it did, tell me about your experience and what it taught you. Someone might keep going because of you๐Ÿ™ƒ.

With love,
Peperempe.

Are You A Failure?

Hello, Dia mi๐Ÿ˜Š! It has been a long week over here and I'm genuinely excited to be having this conversation with you today. Did your week go well? Dia mi, when last did you fail? Do you think you're a failure? Before you answer these questions, I want you to take a deep breath and think about all those past mistakes carefully. I'm not even kidding. How can you appreciate success if you never fail? How can you be relevant if you never fail? If you think this is some motivational speech, you're wrong.  I have thought about it over and over again. Why did I fail at this project? Why did I have bad grades in this course? Why did I give up halfway on that dream? Does this mean I'm a failure? If this sounds like you, those failures didn't happen by chance. It was a result of the actions you took or failed to take as you were aiming for that goal. It could have been any of these: 1. Your Self-discipline: Let's be honest, self discipline is a problem most of us face...
