Hello, Dia mi!
I trust that you've been doing fine. July is turning out to be a dramatic month and it's forcing us to keep up with itπ.
As we are slowly coming out of quarantine, it has become necessary to reflect on the time we spent at home. I went through phases of hyper-productivity, inactivity and social media distancing but they were not without vital lessons. Here are some life hacks I learnt that could help you too.
Your God and your family are priceless:
This cannot be overemphasized! When everything is so hard and you feel like giving up, you know you can turn to God and your family. God is always ready to take care of all your worries and give you the inner peace you desire. Moreover, you know you can always run to your family when all your options run out. Cherish every day like it's your last day on earth. Remember that God is your faithful companion in every situation.
Show yourself some love:
Yes, you heard that right. It's important to be selfless and consider others but it's also okay to put yourself first in some situations. You need to recharge yourself every once in a while. Take that nap. Drop that laptop and talk to someone. Your health is your wealth, Dia mi.
Show your friends that you care:
Swallow your pride and call that "distant" friend. These are hard times and we have no idea what other people are going through. It means a lot when you reach out to someone. It's a huge ray of light in a dark room. So take that bold step and love up on your friends.
Take baby steps towards growth:
I learned that I needed to grow, even if it was the hardest thing. In this digital age, it would be suicidal to not improve on yourself every day. My advice to you is to keep improving and never stand still. Crawl if you can't walk. Just keep trying till you crush that goal.
These were the blessings bestowed on me by quarantine. I would love to know how they have impacted you. Did you get any quarantine bonuses like me? Let me know in the comments section.
Before I go, I'll leave you with a quote from one of my favourite people. You may be disappointed if you fail but you'll be doomed if you never try(Beverly Sills).
With love,
Peperempe.
