My Quarantine Bonuses

Hello, Dia mi!

I trust that you've been doing fine. July is turning out to be a dramatic month and it's forcing us to keep up with it๐Ÿ˜Œ.

As we are slowly coming out of quarantine, it has become necessary to reflect on the time we spent at home. I went through phases of hyper-productivity, inactivity and social media distancing but they were not without vital lessons. Here are some life hacks I learnt that could help you too.

Your God and your family are priceless:
This cannot be overemphasized! When everything is so hard and you feel like giving up, you know you can turn to God and your family. God is always ready to take care of all your worries and give you the inner peace you desire. Moreover, you know you can always run to your family when all your options run out. Cherish every day like it's your last day on earth. Remember that God is your faithful companion in every situation.

Show yourself some love:
Yes, you heard that right. It's important to be selfless and consider others but it's also okay to put yourself first in some situations. You need to recharge yourself every once in a while. Take that nap. Drop that laptop and talk to someone. Your health is your wealth, Dia mi.

Show your friends that you care:
Swallow your pride and call that "distant" friend. These are hard times and we have no idea what other people are going through. It means a lot when you reach out to someone. It's a huge ray of light in a dark room. So take that bold step and love up on your friends.

Take baby steps towards growth:
I learned that I needed to grow, even if it was the hardest thing. In this digital age, it would be suicidal to not improve on yourself every day. My advice to you is to keep improving and never stand still. Crawl if you can't walk. Just keep trying till you crush that goal.

These were the blessings bestowed on me by quarantine. I would love to know how they have impacted you. Did you get any quarantine bonuses like me? Let me know in the comments section.

Before I go, I'll leave you with a quote from one of my favourite people. You may be disappointed if you fail but you'll be doomed if you never try(Beverly Sills).

With love,
Peperempe.

Why You Should Drop That Fiction Book...For Now

Hello, Dia mi๐Ÿ˜! How are you doing today? I hope you've been having a lovely week so far. As for me, I have had a lovely week of reading and online classes and it wasn't exactly bearable. Luckily for us, it's the weekend๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ! I'm happy I was able to help you with tips to help you overcome failure in our last conversation. On the bright side, we'll be talking about books and how special they are. Books are treasures given to us for literally nothing and when we treat them that way, they change our lives forever. The kind of books I'm talking about is not this type but for reference purposes, this is also a book๐Ÿ˜‚. I'm going to guess you read a fictional book recently. Even if my guess is wrong and you're reading one right now, can you drop it for a moment?  Before a moment gets long, I want you to know that I understand how boring self-help might be, especially if you're new to it. Most of them don't have that thrill, suspense and comedy your favo...

The New Sounds Of Nigerian Music

Hello,Dia mi! I trust that you have been doing well. It's a new month and a new chance for many of us to crush those amazing goals, right? What have you been up to? As for me,I have been listening to a whole lot of songs. My playlist is full of new sounds that I'm absolutely loving. I decided to share them with you๐Ÿ˜. The corona virus pandemic has forced all of us to stay at home more than we would love to. Fortunately, this has helped many artists to hone their craft. Nowadays, songs are more about the lyrics than the beat.(Shaking a table๐Ÿ˜‚) To be very honest, most Nigerian songs are about the beat. We love to listen to the beat because it lifts our mood and keeps us motivated. We had less time on our hands which made it easy to ignore lyrics. With more time on our hands,we can now listen to song lyrics patiently and with meaning. We prefer slower tunes with deep interpretations. Suddenly,a lockdown music revolution became the next big thing. In few months,we have moved from ear-...

Love Is Not Enough

Hello,Dia mi! I trust that you are having a lovely day. I also hope that you have been spreading love and kindness everywhere. It is a blessing to put a smile on someone's face❤. I'm going to talk about important factors that make or mar relationships, whether romantic or not.All our life,we've always heard how one day,we'll fall in love and have a happy ever after with that special person. You've been lied to terribly. It never works this way. I guess this was passed around to shield us from the shocking reality. The shocking reality is that love is never ever enough!. Sounds unbelievable, right? I understand you, trust me. Have you ever wondered what holds the strong relationships we see around?. Dia mi,a lot of things come in other than love. Here's why some relationships last longer than others do. Commitment: This can never be underrated,or is it overrated? What I'm saying is you have to make up your mind to give time to your relationships. You have to con...
